Station 1 is located on the
corner of Main Street and Benson Road. Built in 1970
it currently houses 7 apparatus.
It serves as the administrative office for the department.
The Chief and department administrative offices are
located on the first floor. |
| The siren outside served and a secondary method
of notification to department members. Though no longer used
it serves to remind members of the history of the department. |

The day room is the main meeting
point before and after department activities. |
| The station kitchen is where the firefighters
prepare food while on duty. |

The tool room houses the maintenance
equipment used to keep the apparatus in working order. |
| The Department Administrative Assistant handles
the day to day tasks of the department. |

The Captain On-Duty officers
have an office on the second floor. |
| Paid firefighters spend their nights while not
on calls in one of 4 dorm rooms like this. |

The stations has power backup
by this generator. The department is able to provide
services through ice storms and hurricanes. |
| The Radio Room serves dual purposes first as
the communications center and second as the office. Several computers
allow access to street directions and into the county computer
network. |

groups. |

building which houses a kitchen for meeting and a training
room. |
